of Fishing 4.0 well underway! |
|
Web and database coding is well underway on the 4.0 project.
In 4.0 we'll be taking the catch and tournament computations
away from Second Life and moving them to the web, so you can
count on decreased lag, automatic state saves of your stats,
and networked fishing tournaments from around the world!

We're currently putting the finishing touches on a massive
fish update, so we'll be stocking the pond with dozens of
new fish as well as adding several new quests to the system.

Game: Neo-Realms Scoopers |
|
Neo-Realms Scoopers is a mini-game for the fishing camp.
Based on Japanese goldfish scooping, the Scoopers have a menu-driven
interface, variable scooping options, and a built in 15-minute
mini-game for daily prizes, where you try to collect the most
stars and rubies.

Quest Redeemers online! |
|
Automation is here! First, click the treasure chest next
to the award redeemers and click to get each of the different
quest collectors. When you catch a quest item, rez the collector
and the quest object on the ground. The quest object will
load into the collector. When you have filled your collector,
rez it near the quest redeemer and claim your prizes! For
a complete list of quest items to obtain, click
here!

Soon you'll be able to redeem your quests without having
to contact a Neo-Realms official. The new system will collect
your quest items in a special quest collector, and once filled
will be rezzed near the quest redeemer for your prizes. Stay
tuned for more details.

Features include level cap expansion to 10 and prim based
bait loading, so you never have to take your rod off ever

| New Neo-Realms
Team Fishing League Kickoff! |
|
The Neo-Realms Team Fishing League (TFL) is a competitive,
team-based tournament league for Neo-Realms
Fishing. Players compete in 2v2 matches over the course
of a 15 week season. The top 8 teams for the season will then
compete in a Final 8 tournament to determine the league champion.
The TFL uses a special league rod that is supplied upon registration.
League matchups will usually occur on Sundays,
with overflow and makeup days on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Our first season is set to kick off Sunday, February 19th
and is open to all residents of Second
Life, so hurry and register! Click

| The Neo-Realms Fishing Camp is turning one year
old, and to celebrate we're throwing a series of tournaments
on Friday, January 6th from 5:00pm to 11:00pm and giving away
over $8000L in cash and $24000 in Fishing Prizes!
Stop on by and catch a tournament or five! We'll also have
some cool door prizes to give away between tournaments, so

Pocket Tourneys are here! |
| Pocket Tourneys allow you
to compete in mini-fishing tournaments whenever you like with
your friends! Two types of Pocket Tourneys are available: 2
player and 4 player mode. Both models feature timed tournaments
with total score, best catch and total catch calculations. The
deluxe 4-player model also allow 2v2 team competitions! Pick

Fundraiser a huge success! |
| It's all over, and in the end we raised $50,000L,
so that's $207.50 US going to help fight Multiple Sclerosis!

| Be sure to periodically perform a /1save on your
rods periodically to make a backup of your rod settings! |

- Typing /1save will save a backup of your rod stats to
our email.
- Reward system is here! You will accumulate points at the
Alston camp each time you catch a fish. There will be a
vendor in place where you can trade in your reward points
for prizes! :)
- Rod now supports scoreboards during tournaments.
- Rods support Team Modes for tournaments.
- Typing /1best will submit scores to the "Best Rods"
Board at the Camp
- /1gesture will now give you a gesture to use the f2 key
to cast.
- /1tourbrag will announce your tournament stats to the
world.
- Improved /1stat results.
- Fishing charms are now supported! If you catch one of
these, load it into your rod as bait, and gain xp! Be careful...
some charms have faded and may be cursed!
